Soft, foul-smelling stools that float, stick to the side of the bowl or are difficult to flush away may mean there’s increased fat in the stools, called steatorrhea. Stools are sometimes also pale.
Although these stools can result from eating a high fat meal, if stools take on this appearance regularly, there may be an underlying disorder.
Lipase, a digestive enzyme produced by the pancreas, and bile salts from the liver are needed to break down and absorb fat. Any condition that results in decreased lipase or bile salts can cause steatorrhea, such as: Pancreatic insufficiency
Chronic pancreatitis – may be due to alcoholism or gallstones. Symptoms may include bouts of abdominal or back pain, and later, abdominal bloating, changes in stools, weight loss, diabetes.
Pancreatic cancer – the fifth leading cancer in the United States. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, weight loss, loss of appetite, metallic taste in the mouth, diarrhea.
Sclerosing cholangitis – symptoms may include fatigue, itchy skin, right sided pain, fever/chills, jaundice, dark urine, pale stools. Often associated with ulcerative colitis.
Choledocholithiasis (obstruction of the bile duct by gallstones)
Bacterial overgrowth – unwanted bacteria in the small intestine deconjugate bile acids interfering with fat absorption. Causes include hypochlorhydria, chronic stress, diabetes, immune deficiency, inadequate fiber, and use of oral contraceptives and other medications.
Steatorrhea can also be caused by infections, medications, or conditions that disrupt the absorptive lining of the intestines, such as Crohn’s disease and celiac disease.
Fat soluble vitamin deficiencies may develop over time. The fat soluble vitamins are vitamins A, D, E, and K. Signs include: night blindness, acne, and lowered immune function (vitamin A deficiency) and excessive bruising or bleeding (vitamin K deficiency).
Address any change or abnormality in bowel movement with your physician immediately, as it can be a sign of a serious disorder. Tags: Crohn's disease, metallic taste, Primary sclerosing cholangitis, vitamin a deficiency, K deficiencyFiled under: Health

Hi! Vitamin A deficiency is not the only cause of Acne. However when you supplement with vitamin A, you prevent the bottom layers of your skin from drying out and flaking, which if left dry, inevitably clogs pours creating acne. I’ll look into the retinoic acid, but I wouldn’t pass on supplementing on Vitamin A because there are sooo many other benefits! Thanks for watching!

Regardless of the method, it MUST destroy 100% of the unwanted bacteria in a person's system. Otherwise, the principle of natural selection infers that any of the surviving bacteria, which were genetically suited to resist your countermeasures, would only live to produce a new generation of even more resilient offspring than you previously had. It's better to work with the natural functions of the human immune system than to impose an arbitrary solution (i.e. force it; a natural but often destructive human response).

There are thousands of folks with many liver diseases from genetic diseases like: Wilson's, Haemochromatosis,Gilbert's syndrome,to autoimmune liver diseases like Primary sclerosing cholangitis which Walter Peyton died of and Primary biliary cirrhosis which I have. As well as the many others that are not as well known as Hepatitis, A,B,& C, alcoholic liver disease and Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease which is on the rise in America. Many of these people eventually need liver transplants. When a celebrity gets a liver it is always a bitter sweet experience for those who are also waiting for a liver. On the one hand, there is the nagging concern that “if I was famous, would I get my transplant sooner or would I be guaranteed a liver”, for many die waiting, and many wouldn't even be considered if they had cancer.

What i think is going on is that you are so worried about eating healthy, while what you are missing is that the body at its givin time will no longer be sustained/work. Instead of worrying to much about vitamin deficiencies and what goes in your body is just plain ignorant to me, no disrespect. The body is just material matter that will decompose, on the other hand, the super soul is the one to worry about. Worry about what kind of body you might have to accept next. but then again you choose.

f abortion is legalized, then abortion will have priority over all other medical emergencies, and this is very wrong. I don’t want my taxes to pay for the abortions of idiotic teenagers who didn’t know that there are things called condoms and other means to prevent undesirable pregnancy.
If they are not aware of the existence of these things, then there is obviously something wrong with their education (and I don't think that one can justify it by saying that it's up to the parents), and then the state should cover the cost, since they didn't do the job right in the first place.
I guess you ment it retorically though. However, many cases of abortion happens because of traditional prevention didn't work as it should, or because of rape. Other reasons could be medical.
In cases like rape or medical emergencies, I'm sure it's possible to make the laws in such a way that they can be paid, but that doesn't help in all the cases where the couple did everything right, but the woman still got pregnant.

On the other hand there is the hope that the celebrity is so grateful to the donor that gave him life that they become a spokesperson for those behind him on the list, waiting for a transplant. The celebrity could bring attention to the desperate need for donors of liver and other organs. This type of gesture would go a long way for Steve Jobs. It shift the limelight to a more favourable place – from lying and stock holders money concerns to helping those who are deathly ill and who couldn't possibly have the same impact a Steve Jobs could have by speaking about his ordeal. Wouldn't it be wonderful if his next move is opening his heart, not protecting his pocket.
Hopefully yours,

Fat Magnet is the advanced electrostatic fat binding formula that removes unwanted fat from the foods you eat! It is formulated with the powerful fat binding fiber, Chitosan. Unlike other fiber in your diet, the all natural matrix in Fat Magnet possesses a positive ionic charge which attracts the negatively charged fats and bile acids. This electrostatic action helps bind fat into a mass too large for absorption, reducing the amount of fat and calories in the food you eat. Fat Magnet also includes a special blend of other natural ingredients which help activate the fat binding process.

I can personally attest that being a 'mall cop,' it is certainly not an 'easy' job. As for all the negative comments about Sarah Palin and the mall cops protecting her, I would ask this; try doing their job for a month. Could YOU hack it? Could YOU deal with gangs, crack heads, violent drunks, hysterical parents & lost kids, confused elderly people suffering from dementia and medical emergencies? Could you make it to being a mayor, or run a state with an 83% approval rating? Could you?

Hi Leslie,I am not a huge dressing person. But I like Newman's Light Honey Dijon, and pretty much all honey dijons. Sometimes I use just 3 good french although it has some weird ingredients.Balasamic vinegars vary widely, some are very sweet.I still to the one fat per salad rule, otherwise I get slughish and have digestion issues. So if I have avocado the creaminess is all I need. Same deal with goat cheeses. I might have a splash of balsamic.I HIGHLY recommend having some fat in your salad. First because you need the fat to absorb the fat soluble vitamins in vegetables, otherwise, why eat the salad? Second, without somefat, it won't fill you up long. Third, fat free dressings are filled with chemicals and sugar, so they really impede the digestion and cleansing process.I love salad, and I mix it up so I never get bored. But I can only have one big salad a day. I just can't face a second entree salad.I hope this helps Leslie. If you really don't enjoy salad, try fresh vegetable juice–not V8. I swear it is like an iv of health into your cells!I hope this helps!
